Often times, when someone offers 24 hour/emergency services, people assume that means your pricing is the same at 12 midnight as it would be at 12 noon. I often have customers call during the day to check our pricing, and then try to set the job up for 8-9 at night. When I inform them of the price change they get upset.
What you have to understand about 24 hour/emergency service is that it simply means that someone is available if you NEED service late. Most mobile companies don’t have someone on the road round the clock. They usually have someone on call for emergency work, but they have to be paid overtime. It costs us, as service providers, a lot more in time and energy, to stop our lawn work, chores, dinners, sleep, get out uniform back on and get back on the road to help you with your lock problems so of course we have to charge more.
