Storm doors aren’t exactly high security doors, however, keeping them locked does present one extra barrier for criminals to fight through. Having a glass door locked gives you the advantage of hearing glass break or hearing the struggle with your door before they even get to your solid house door. Many people never bother to use a key to enter these doors because they enter their home through their garage, but when the power fails, your electric garage doors wont open for you, and you will be forced to enter through another door.
