If you happen to have called one of the “bad apple” Locksmith companies and a technician shows up, ask yourself, Am I comfortable with the technician? Do I believe what he is saying?If the answer is no, ask the technician to leave. Do not pay anything. If the technician refuses, gets ugly or demands payment. Call law enforcement immediately.If the answer is yes, allow the technician to see what he/she has to do and ask for a final price….Trip charge you already know because the dispatcher told you.
If it is way above what you thought or were told, tell the technician no and either agree on a price or ask him/her to leave. Do not pay. (refer to second paragraph if becomes nasty) If you see the technician is doing damage or just doesn’t seem to know what he/she is doing, ask them to stop and leave.Stay with them at all times while they are working.If at anytime you feel uncomfortable, call for law enforcement and walk away until they arrive.MOST OF THESE TYPE OF COMPANIES ARE OUT FOR ONE THING! DON’T FALL PREY TO THESE SCAMS AND IF YOU DO, KNOW HOW TO GET OUT BEFORE YOUR $ GOES. REMEMBER THERE ARE MANY GOOD LOCKSMITH COMPANIES TO CHOOSE FROM.
