Desk locks

Many furniture stores sell their own brands or custom brands of desks, dressers, cabinets, etc.  Many of these come as is with no locking options. If you have furniture that you need to be able to lock, it can be a difficult problem. There are many options ranging from simple, keyed, cam locks, to remote locks, locks with combinations, and even concealed/hidden locks that can only be opened with special magnets by people who know where the lock is hidden. Custom and high end wooden furnishings can be tricky and difficult to modify and should only be done by the most experienced locksmiths or carpenters.  Every manufacturer has their own designs and every desk or cabinet presents its own unique challenges, so be sure whoever you use has many years of experience with such work, and is 100% confident he can do the work without damaging the area around the lock.
